I think you better should avoid the Noid now.

Avoid The Noid was an advertising campaign created for Domino's Pizza in 1986. Created by the advertising agency Group 243 and designed by Will Vinton Studios.

Synopsis[]

The Noid is a strange humanoid creature who wears an outfit that looks like a cross between a bunny suit and a superhero costume, who is bent and determined on destroying pizzas, not unlike the plane-wrecking Gremlins of World War II. His main target is Domino's, whose company guarantee is to deliver hot, fresh, perfectly made pizzas to its customers' homes. Domino's wants customers to order from them, in order to stop the dastardly deeds of the Noid.

Why It's Cursed[]

Do you really believe a creepy little man-thing is the one who ruined your pizza or that one company's pizzas are indestructible? The ads became controversial when on January 30, 1989, a mentally ill man named Kenneth Lamar Noid, entered a Domino's franchise in Chamblee, Georgia, holding two employees hostage at gunpoint claiming the ads were a personal attack on him. Mr. Noid was arrested and admitted to a mental institution.

Not only that, but Domino's does have a reputation for subpar pizza, and even cold pizza, so Domino's might ruin your pizza before the Noid can even touch it.

Trivia[]

Despite the incident in Chamblee, the Noid character is still fondly remembered by many people who grew up in the 1980s. He appeared in a computer game called Avoid The Noid; Yo Noid!, a game for the NES, and has been featured/mentioned on TV shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy. There are also plastic figurines, T-shirts, plush toys, and even a Funko Pop!
