A 2010 advertisement for the racing game Blur.
Advert[]
We see a parody of Mario Kart with a bunch of adorable characters racing against each other. As soon as the race starts, all but one of them leave. The one who didn't, a Toad/Funko Pop lookalike, looks over and notices a different race on the side of the fence, which is actually footage from Blur. After he looks at the scene in awe, a Bubble Bobble-like dinosaur appears and tells him that racing isn't about winning, it's about making friends, which gets the Toad/Funko Pop lookalike to punch him and continue watching.
Why It's Cursed[]
The advert feels like a shallow jab at Nintendo as a whole and does a poor attempt at satirizing the Mario Kart series (since when did those games revolve around making friends?). It also tries to be relevant by stating that Nintendo is for babies and everyone should buy a more grittier racing game.
