A 2014 Super Bowl advert for Audi that's just plain odd.
Advert[]
A couple are having a debate over whether or not their pet dog should be a Chihuahua or a Doberman. An employee suggests to have a mixed breed of the two called a Doberhuahua. They imagine the resulting dog, who is shown disturbing and disgusting anyone near. Sarah McLachlan makes a surprise appearance parodying her appearances in ASPCA adverts. Soon, it turns out that the Doberhuahua has been breeding as several more have invaded the city. We then sharply cut to the car being advertised, with the couple having settled on a normal dog. We end with McLachlan throwing her guitar away, a Doberhuahua gnawing on it.
Why It's Cursed[]
The appearance of the titular Doberhuahua is utterly freaky due to the bad cgi and large head. (even the other characters are scared of it). The terror also comes off as less funny and more legitimate. Due to this, the dog comes off as creepy due to uncanny valley. On top of that, the fact that it's advertising a car is just plain confusing.
