Remco - Baby Laugh'a'Lot Original Commercial

So funny, I forgot to push her button!

Baby Laugh A-Lot was a doll manufactured by Remco, a toy company that went bankrupt in 1971 (the same year this doll was released) and was later acquired by Azrak-Hamway International, Inc. in 1974.

Synopsis[]

The ad starts with a little girl putting the doll on a table, with the announcer saying "Listen to Remco's Baby Laugh A-Lot!". The girl pushes the doll's buttons, and she starts rocking and laughing loudly and the batteries start to run low. After a few odd cuts to kids swiftly turning their heads, the kids themselves start laughing, and so does the narrator.

Why It's Cursed[]

Everything about this advert is just creepy. The doll's psycho demonic laughter, especially when it's the only sound heard in the commercial(other than the dialogue). Could be twice as creepy when you think about what the laugh sounds like when the doll's batteries start to run low. Its face is also pretty horrifying. The sudden cuts of the kids turning is also weird and makes it more of a horror experience, and so does the announcer's pedophile voice. It doesn't help when even the narrator starts laughing near the end.
