2009 Folgers Coffee commercial made for the Holiday season. It is a remake of 1986's "Peter Comes Home For Christmas". which ran for many years.
Synopsis[]
A taxi pulls up to the house and the brother gets out, the sister looks out the window, with a big smile on her face, which she still has when she answers the door, the sister is so excited to see her brother and tells him that she "waited up all night for him". The brother who just got back from Africa sees the Folgers and is so glad to have "real coffee". He brews some coffee and the parents smell it and know he's here. The brother hands the sister a gift with a bow on it, she then sticks the bow on his shirt and says that he is "her present" this year! Mom and Dad enter and hug, and the commercial ends with the famous Folgers slogan/jingle.
Why It's Cursed[]
The commercial gained infamy when it trended on Tumblr, because of the brother and sister's acting and the incest subtext implied by the ad. Also calling mass-produced American coffee "real coffee" after spending a long period in Africa with the real thing!
