Giffing Out is an advert for Kmart, which aired during the holiday season of 2013. The commercial references the "GIF" looping file format.
Aside from this commercial, there is also another "Giffing Out" commercial featuring a lady screaming outside throwing a purse.
Synopsis[]
A couple is outside in their driveway with Kmart bags in their trunk, doing the eponymous "giffing out". The husband is doing a tap dance while saying "Hehehehe!", while the wife is running up to the bags, and those two actions loop every second. Two neighbors by the fence are pondering what's wrong with them, and a woman says they're giffing out due to what they scored at Kmart. After that, a little girl passes by on her bike exclaiming "What the?"
After the deals noted, the couple is seen both doing a same random dance as the ad ends, going "Ooh ooh... yeah!"
Why It's Cursed[]
To get the elephant out of the room, this ad tries to be relevant by using "gifs". The couple in the ad get very annoying quickly with their noises, and the ad altogether doesn't even make sense. Not to mention, unless one is using Coub, the GIF file format doesn't support audio, so they also got that wrong as well.
