Hacks is a British brand of cough sweets. This commercial aired in 1979.
Synopsis[]
It begins in someone's throat with the text:
"A throat.
Somewhere in Hackney."
Then, a pair of eyes come out of the darkness of the mouth. And then, a frog come out via the tonsil and sings about how the guy has got him in his throat. The advertised product is then shown with 3 flavors: Original, Honey & Lemon and Blackcurrant.
A hand chooses the Honey & Lemon-flavored Hacks, opens it up and, presumably, puts it in is his mouth. We cut back to the throat, where the frog is still singing. Then the frog gets hit by the Hack and he disintegrates. It ends with the 3 flavors with the tagline:
"Kiss Your Frog Goodbye."
Why It's Cursed[]
The frog and how it's in the throat of someone and singing about how the frog got in there is so bizarre.
