A 2015 television commercial for the Truth organization.
Advert[]
At a party, a couple of friends come across a fat guy. They ask if he's a smoker, which he denies. Then a cat (who resembles the I CAN HAZ CHEEZEBURGER cat) appears with a scare cord as the words "It's a Trap" appear in the Impact font and a deep voice says it.
A couple are on the stairs smoking, where the girl tells that she smokes only on Saturdays. She gets a phone call from a Will's ex, who tells her "It's a trap!" with the impact font text appearing below the phone, and the girl gets shocked at the message.
At the pool, we see a boy on a raft smoking and denying who he is. He says that he is going to do the yoga tomorrow, until he sees Ermahgerd girl with cigarette boxes in her hands saying the same thing.
Back inside, we see a girl sitting in front of a desk, holding a cigarette (or is it a wand?) and saying, what can be wrong, before an animated unicorn vomits a rainbow on the desk, and says, "it's a trap!" with the impact text appearing under him. A boy smiles at the unicorn, and says "Unicorn."
Another boy claims that he'll quit smoking when he graduates, until Joseph Ducreux arrives and says "Tis indeed a trap". Boys stare at him shocked.
Lastly, a girl states that she'll stop when she wants to, only for a seal to cut her off with the same words.
Why It's Cursed[]
Several internet memes are shoehorned into this advert to seem hip, but it's ridiculous; in addition, many of the memes featured were dead years ago. Not as cursed as it is cringy.
