Ode to the Subway Feast is a Subway commercial featuring Peter Griffin from the series Family Guy. The campaign was to promote the show that aired from November 2007 through December of that year. [1]
Synopsis[]
Footage of Subway's ingredients are playing in the background while Peter is standing with a piece of paper, and he states he can smell the montage going on behind him. Then he shares the ode that goes:
Turkey, salami, cheese with roast beef
Pepperoni and ham, write this down chief
We got 'em all on freshly baked bread
The Subway Feast, it's as big as my head
Peter comments with "Beat that, Jared!", in response to Jared Fogle, the former spokesperson for the company.
Why It's Cursed[]
The advert isn't necessarily the best because of how cheap it looks, but it's not like the animation on family guy itself looks any better.
But the comment "beat that, jared" is extremely awkward now considering Jared's imprisonment due to being convicted as a sex offender.
