The lights turn on in a ominous white room, where we see a robot baby sitting before the PS3. We hear echoed cries and other scary noises happening all over the place. The baby then suddenly opens its eyes and sees the console. It begins to reach out for it while cooing (which briefly gets replaced by a adult man laughing). Suddenly, the baby begins to cry and whine while envisioning launch titles. As the console starts to float, the baby proclaims "Mama mama!" We end on a close up of the console in mid air with the tagline "Play beyond."
Why It's Cursed[]
The ad is very abstract, confusing and creepy, and doesn't have anything to do with the product at hand, other than the Sony PlayStation 3 on the floor. The robot baby throwing it's tantrum does not help either. The advert has since gained infamy online for its weird nature and creepiness, and has becoming a staple of childhood trauma.
