Ronald McDonald's Debut is, well, the first appearance of Ronald McDonald in a McDonald's commercial, aired in 1963. He was portrayed by Willard Scott.
Synopsis[]
A narrator attempts to introduce Ronald to the viewer but has a hard time finding him. It's revealed that someone is watching the scene on a television, and when he switches on the light, he reveals himself as Ronald McDonald, only with a different look. He goes over the main food items on a kids' meal of the time before waving his arms up and down. The ad ends with Ronald's then theme song playing over a shot of him dancing in front of the restaurant.
Why It's Cursed[]
Ronald's look here is hideous. He has uneven makeup and wears food and trays as headwear, making him unintentionally creepy. The way he stares at you throughout, as well as his odd dance at the end, contribute as well.
