From the start of June to the near end of July, several animated ads were released advertising the infamous "Chips Ahoy" brand of cookies. This is just one of many ads made for said product.
Synopsis[]
The "Chips Ahoy!" logo can be seen on screen at the beginning, it is then pulled away only to reveal it was brass knuckles being worn by Chip, a chocolate chip cookie with stylish sneakers. A female voice than reads text on the screen saying "When the drip is respectable, but the chips are impeccable", and then the ad ends.
Why It's Cursed[]
The ad is an ABYSMAL attempt at relevance. The use of the drip meme was just a way to entice the new meme-versed generation to click on it. Not that it matters, because everyone hated it. The ad got so many views, which led to a whole plethora of these ads being made, and the like to dislike ratio of the original (At the time of writing, 1.1k to 2.7k) is lower than any other ad. The "When the drip is respectable" line is also based on the "When the Impostor is sus!" meme, making it worse.
Trivia[]
- The ad is based on the "When the Impostor is sus!!! 😳" meme, which references the popular indie sci-fi horror game "Among Us".
