Uncle Majic New Commercial 2010

"The one who celebrities call for their kids birthday parties". You actually think Kim Kardashian would hire this guy? (Well, just maybe..)

Uncle Majic, self dubbed "The Hip Hop Magician", is an entertainer from the New Jersey area. Uncle Majic specialties in birthday parties and magic shows, and brings party essentials such as inflatables, popcorn machines, etc.

This commercial aired in the 2000's, particularly during the late night hours of television.

Synopsis[]

The ad is simplistic. On a color changing background, is the Uncle himself introducing himself, and then on the left of him appears is "Shakim the Clown". Majic claims he's the one who "celebrities call for their kids birthday parties", whilst Shakim claims he is the one.

At the very end, Majic yells "WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE UNCLE?", when the scene changes to a little kid yelling "Uncle Majic!"

Why It's Cursed[]

Even though it's obvious because it's targeting kids, the advert is just too peppy and colorful, and altogether is awfully designed. Not many kids would've seen it as well, because it would often air at night. Like when he lists the phone number and says "MAGIC" (which technically isn't even possible to input), Majic is horribly stretched to the left of the screen. Speaking of which, "Majic" isn't even spelled correctly. At the end, the editors made an even bigger mistake by misspelling "The" in his name as "Thc".

Although, what actually really makes the advert cursed is Uncle Majic himself. He is the keen for robbery and sexual jokes, and his reviews on Google and elsewhere are rather unfortunate.

Trivia[]

  • The earliest Uncle Majic advert aired back in 2006 (although according to the producer, Phil Johnson, the ad was shot in 2003), and was labeled under ABRACADABRA Entertainment.
  • Majic's real name is Nakia Rattay. He has a few daughters, one of them named Dana.
  • Another organization owned by Uncle Majic was the Elton Street Kids, which pretty much features the same things: inflatables, cotton candy, games, etc.
