Unhappy Meals was an advertisement released on June 20th, 2018 to promote a problem with McDonald's' chicken nuggets. The ad was published by "The Humane Society of the United States" claming that there was problems making the chicken nuggets.
Plot[]
The ad begins with a narrator saying that McDonald's calls them Happy Meals. The plot twists when the narrator then says "More like, Unhappy Meals." Following the line, the happy smile on the Happy Meal Box turns to a depressed frown, as the screen shakes a little. The McDonald's box then peels open, revealing real footage of chicken in groups, being picked up, laying on the ground, flying around, etc. The Happy Meal Box then folds back into its normal form, while a text pops up, reading "Burger King, Subway and others are fixing these problems. McDonald's can too." the ad then tells the viewer to go to Unhappymeals.com or text MCDONALDS to a number, which will not be stated for privacy reasons. The ad then ends, with the Happy Meal Box still sitting there.
Why It's Cursed[]
The Happy Meal Box is clearly copy and pasted into the ad, and when the smile turns to a frown, the animation just looks weird.

The same company would tell viewers to "Save Ralph" exactly 3 years after this ad's worldwide release.
