Yummy Buffet is an East-Asian buffet restaurant in Chicago, Illinois, located at 3925 W Lawrence Ave. This ad was uploaded on YouTube in 2011, possibly when they first opened. (There is no information available of when they actually opened.)
Sypnosis[]
The ad overall explains the types of food the restaurant has, such like stir fry, hamachi, Beijing duck, Sushi, desserts, oranges, and etc.
Why It's Cursed[]
The commercial uses a text-to-speech program (like in VYOND) as the voice over, something you'd never ever see in an advertisement. This may be due to the fact the owners of the restaurant don't speak English, however, and even then, the text to speech is slightly grammatically incorrect. For instance, the word "dessert" is spoken as "desert". Not only that, but the speaker starts roleplaying as the guest.
The entire ad doesn't seem to be as professional, as it's really just a slideshow with stock images.
Trivia[]
- The "WELGOME" sign appears to have a G instead of the C, yet another translation error.
- The song that plays is titled "Street Where Wind Resides".
